Jenny Strang,

The Artist

From the time I was four years old, I have carried the dream of becoming an artist. I still remember sitting for hours at my kitchen table with crayons, paints, and pencils, completely absorbed in creating. In those moments, I felt both calm and energized, as if art was not only my outlet but also my language. That early connecion to creativity has shaped not only who I am but also the work I create today.

Artist Statement

My practice is rooted in mixed media painting, where I find freedom in combining textures, layers, and colors to build a story on canvas. The subjects that inspire me most are children and animals. To me, children embody the truest expression of love, innocence, and beauty. Their joy is pure, their emotions are unfiltered, and their presence is a reminder of the gentleness and wonder that often gets lost in adulthood. When paired with animals -symbols of loyalty, trust, and instinct- these themes grow even stronger.

Music is also central to my process. Just as melodies weave together notes to create emotion, I layer materials to capture moments of tenderness, play, and connection. Each piece becomes a visual symphony that celebrates the spirit of childhood and the quiet yet powerful bond we share with the natural world.

Throught my art, I seek to create spaces where viewers can reconnect with their own sense of wonder and remember the beauty of simplicity. My work is not only a reflection of my personal love for children, animals, and music, but also an invitation for others to pause, feel and carry a bit of that innocence forward into their own lives.
